Performing organizations frequently "commission" our students to compose new works. While in most instances no financial remuneration is involved, there are various requirements for the work in terms of instrumentation, style, ensemble size, purpose, and audience. Experienced students are carefully selected to match the needs of the requesting organization. These opportunities provide students with the chance to work with new musicians; students and adults, amateurs as well as professionals, and have their work heard by new audiences.
