"It’s based on a piano piece I wrote when I was trying to explain my complex frustration about an event that had occurred recently to someone and, unable to fully express it with words, I sat down at the piano in the room and started improvising, showing them how I felt through music. Once I had finished, they understood how I felt, had experienced it themselves through the music. I later transcribed the piece and, over the last few years, I've expanded the original piano piece into an orchestral piece in which attempts to convey the difficulty of facing challenges, and the triumph of overcoming them."
