Hi Tommy,

Great to meet you--looking forward to working on this!

1. The range of your trombone part is a little high for most of the piece so far--you might consider moving it down an octave and seeing how you like it. You could also copy the notes that are above the regular range of the instrument into the trumpet part, and then write something in the trombone part to accompany it. The highest note that you should write for a trombone player is probably an F above the bass clef staff (two ledger lines and a space above).

2. So far it seems you're using a lot of the same rhythm (mostly quarter notes) throughout the piece. This isn't a bad thing, but you should experiment with some other possibilities before deciding to keep the rhythm as it is. Maybe add some eighth notes or dotted quarter notes at times to give it a little variety.

3. I really like that you're experimenting with flats and naturals a lot in this piece. Keep up the good work!
