Hello!

I'm sorry it took me so long to write back, after I uploaded this I completely forgot about it! Here are my answers to your questions.

1) I don't really know what my inspiration for this piece is, I'll think about more and try to see what made me have this idea.

2) I think adding more instruments would be great! I just wanted to add piano first. A trumpet would be something I could add.

3) I tried out your idea with the bass line and I think it works well!

Thanks for helping me get started, I will work more on this piece when I can!

Hi Isabella!

I'm so happy you're writing with us, and what a great start to a piece you have!

I love the beginnings of the melody you've got going, as well as bass line. I've got some questions for you so you can plan how to move forward.

1. What's your inspiration? What are you going to focus your music for this piece on?

2. Is it for solo piano? It could be really fun to add some more instruments...m aybe a trumpet/piano piece? Here are a couple of fun piano/trumpet duets to check out.

3. You've got a really nice sense of a home key in G minor. I think moving forward you should consider varying the bass line of the piano. A very common progression would be moving from G-D, G-D, to C-G, C-G, to D-A, D-A. This moves us through the 3 most important chords in G minor. They are G, Bb, D (g minor), C, Eb, G (C minor), and D,F#,A (D major).

You've got an awesome start, so just keep going!! Let me know if you have any questions, and write me a note when you've worked on it again.
