Hello Greta,

I wanted to congratulate you on this composition. I'm sorry it was not chosen for inclusion in the Opus concert. There is simply not room on the program for all the fine pieces that deserve a performance. I'd encourage you to keep working on this piece and try to get it performed.

Best Wishes,

Mike Close

Dear Greta,
I'm just piggy-backing on Mike's comment. You do have a charming beginning of your piece. I hope you can continue working on it. I do need to mention that our final deadline for completed pieces for Opus submission is Thursday evening of this week. Please let Mike know if you have any questions. Good luck!

Best wishes,

Hello Greta,

Matt just alerted me that you had posted a piece. I'm sorry for the delay in getting to you. Any revisions you make now will be addressed within a day or two- I'll get an email alert.

This is a charming piece of music. I really like the accompanimental cello line. I think this would work well played pizzicato. Perhaps the violin could play pizz. as well when it takes this line at m. 18. Then they could both play pizz. at m. 22.

I feel like this piece could go on quite a bit longer- perhaps a section in a contrasting key- maybe where the cello has the melody- the relative minor key perhaps- with E as the home tone and the same key signature- then a return to the original idea- perhaps with the cello taking the melody and the violin accompanying.

Again, my apologies for the delay in responding to your post. Keep up the good work!
