Sounds good, Izzy. I hope to get the instrumentation from Eleanor at the VSO fairly soon, which will be good. I'll keep you posted. Will you email me the latest version whenever you get a chance?

Hey Matt!

Just to keep you updated, I've been doing the following:

- Consolidating the cello parts to be only one part for balancing purposes
- Arranging bass parts so that they're more effective
- Bringing out parts that couldn't be heard before (i.e. something that needed to be doubled or was being covered by other instruments)
- Thinking about the implementation of winds to be announced (the fast middle section needs some help chords-wise because of the canon)
- Speaking of canon, I rearranged it so it wasn't actually a canon, but two separate parts that sound exactly the same (the parts were so similar that I figured out how to replicate the sound without the canon)

Slow work, but it's getting done! Excited for official instrumentation !

I'm free all of Thursday - I don't have any finals that day!

Also, I'll make sure to email you those files. I'm a little scattered as of late. Well, actually, as of always, haha.

But I look forward to seeing you soon!

AH! We ended up staying an extra day and just got back this morning. And I've got a meeting that came up for tomorrow afternoon.

What about next week? How's that look for you?

Also, Carmen fantasy is sweeeeet. That'll be fun.

Also, email me the xml or midi of your piece. . We need to get you off noteflight for this.

Hello again!

I'm also traveling this week, funnily enough! Next week, any day works for me, as it's finals week, and I don't have school after about 12:30. Monday or Tuesday would be great!

My senior solo will be the Carmen Fantasy for flute, arranged by Francois Borne. :)

CONGRATS!!! That's going to be awesome. What's the solo piece?

I'm traveling this week, but back next week and fairly open. Tuesday and Wednesday especially. There's a cool show happening at ArsRiot on Thursday if you're interested. You should come to one of our VSO Jukebox shows next year too.

What works for you?

And can you email me either the xml or midi file of Evergreen? It should be good to go in Musescore, so it's odd it's not working.

welp that didnt work

Musescore won't take my files. Soooooooo we're gonna have to keep using Noteflight.

Hey Matt!

VYO auditions are over - I did really well and got a senior solo!

I've got a lot more free time than before regarding rehearsals and such during the week. Is there a time this week that might work for you and I to get together?

P.S. I just downloaded Musescore - we'll see how it all goes!

That's alright - there's no need to rush anything. Let's aim for something after Opus and your VYO audition. That sounds like the smartest thing to do.

Next week is really hard for me - I have a concert on Monday, flute lessons on Wednesday, and allstates from Thursday until Sunday. The following Monday (15) we have Opus, and then I have my VYO senior solo audition Tuesday, May 16th.

I would normally say we could do something Tuesday, but I need to work with my accompanist some more in order to have a successful audition the next week.

However, after all that, I'm free (except for Wednesdays and rehearsals for Frozen pit orchestra)!
