Sophie: ) : ) Opus 33

There's three low notes and followed by one high note starting in measure 5. I really like how that sounds. I would like to build off of that motive.

Hi Sophie, I haven't heard from you yet. Are you still working on this composition? There is still plenty of time but I don't recommend saving too too much for the last minute.

Let me know if I can give you more guidance to get rolling,

Hi Sophie, I'll be your mentor. Welcome! It sounds like you're writing for piano. If so, you'll need to add a second staff below this one, and put a bass clef on it.
That will make it easier to read. Any note lower than about middle C (like the G in measure 3 and the B in measure 4) should be written on the lower staff instead.
Also I like the idea of having three low notes and one high note. One thing we can work on is building the feeling of "tonic." What I mean by that is, one note is actually more important than the others. In your piece, C will be that note. have you worked with a "tonic" before? Your music teacher might also have called it a "home tone," or if you sing using do ro mi notes, "do."

Let me know how it goes, and if you've really chosen to write for piano. Then we can get rolling.
