Hi Daniel,

What happened to your drum part? You had a cool drum beat before that you've removed!

Let's work with the instrument's you've selected, and we can always add more later if you want.

Don't forget to change your key signature, and keep me posted as you continue writing.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Best,
Rebecca

HI Rebecca,
I'm excited to work with you on my opus piece! Here are my answers for the questions you asked:
1) I am thinking about what my song will sound like with the instruments I chose, but I would be open to any suggestions.
2) Some of my favorite Hip Hop artists are Kendrick Lamar and Lil Uzi Vert.
Thanks,
:Daniel

Hi Daniel,

My name is Rebecca and I'll be your mentor for Op. 33.

I think your idea of writing a hip-hop style piece is awesome and I'm looking forward to working on this with you!

A couple questions:

1) Are you set on the instruments you've chosen, or are you thinking about adding any others?

2) Just because I'm curious, who are your favorite Hip-Hop artists? :)

I second Mr. Lambert's suggestion on the key signature. That way, you won't need so many natural signs.

Keep writing, and let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Rebecca

Thanks for getting your composition submitted! I like the idea of mashing up hip hop and classical. An emerging genera I like is Hip hop with Jazz. Check out the Robert Glasper Experiment.

Looking at your piece quick I notice you're using F#- and G#- Chords. Consider using an E major key signature as your chords are originating there. That has 4 sharps: F#, C#, G#, D#.

Be well!

Mr. Lambert
